In 2023, Lecofruit was honored with a CSR award for its commitment to local and responsible sourcing. This recognition celebrates years of collaboration with Malagasy farmers to build sustainable, equitable, and locally rooted agricultural value chains. This year, during the CSR Open House organized by Innoveo, award recipients were celebrated and the impact of their initiatives evaluated. To mark the occasion, Augustin Rakotoarimanana, a Lecofruit partner farmer for over 20 years, shared his experience:
« I’ve been working with Lecofruit since 2000. I’ve always been a farmer, but since entering into a partnership with Lecofruit, our standard of living has improved. I was able to send my children to school, acquire zebu and carts. Our partnership agreement gives me peace of mind and secures my production. Over the past 25 years, I’ve learned how to make compost and I’ve improved my farming techniques. »
